Product Life Cycle

McAfee products are “version-less” subscriptions. As such, you should periodically connect to the internet so that your product(s) can automatically check for available updates. Product updates are released nearly every day. Access to these updates is a valuable part of your paid subscription.

McAfee will provide technical support and your product will continue to function as long as you have a valid (paid) subscription to that McAfee product and you have connected to the internet for updates within the past six months.

If you are a retail customer that does not connect to the internet, the product will be supported for one year from your date of purchase. Upon expiration, you should purchase a new version from your local retail outlet or renew your subscription online, making sure to download any available update(s) that have been released.

Currently supported products have support on www.mcafeehelp.com including a complete knowledge base of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), access to product patches, and free chat and email support. Additionally, currently supported products have pay support options. If a major technical issue is identified in a Currently Supported Product, it will be addressed via a product patch or work-around.

Windows 95, 98, & ME Support

In accordance with Microsoft no longer supporting Windows 95, 98, or ME, McAfee no longer supports these Windows operating systems. McAfee recommends that users update their operating system with other supported operating systems such as Windows 2K, XP, and Vista.

Products Currently Supported by McAfee (Not including Enterprise products)
