More connections. Rapid IE uses 5 times more connections
than normal browsers use. (Rapid IE uses 10 connections, normal browsers
use 2.) Imagine taking a 2-lane highway and adding 8 more lanes. There would
be fewer traffic jams, cars would move faster and you would get to where you
were going a whole lot sooner! This is the same thing that happens when you
use more connections. Your Internet has more power so you can surf a lot faster.
Smarter Surfing. Did you know that every website (such
as www.yahoo.com) has a
corresponding number, similar to a phone number, attached to it? (This is
technically called an IP address.) They do this because just think how hard
it would be for us to remember 122.448.899.90 is the number for Yahoo?
On the flip side this means that everytime you type in www.yahoo.com,
your browser has to "dial up" the website and ask for the correct
"phone number". Rapid IE is different in that it remembers these
numbers everytime you call and saves them in a virtual address book. This means
less time wasted on "dialing" and less time for a website to load!
What’s more, websites, like people sometimes move and change addresses.
Rapid IE is constantly monitoring these and updating its address book.
Flash and Image Blocking. Rapid IE allows you to customize
and speed up your web browsing by letting you turn on and off images and Flash.
Oftentimes these are the very things that cause a website to load at a
Bandwidth Monitoring. Rapid IE innovative speedometer allows
you to actually monitor the speed of your connection. The green light measures
what is incoming (such as images, html files, etc) and the red light measures
what is outgoing (such as cookies).
Automatic Optimization. Rapid IE looks at your Internet
connection speed and then automatically configures your TCP and SACK settings.
It matches these in accordance with the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force)
recommendations to make your connection as fast as it can be.
